The heart of Okmulgee is the town square featuring the Creek Council House Museum. Erected in 1878, the museum building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is acknowledged as a National Historic Landmark. The Museum was established in 1923 by the Creek Indian Memorial Association as an education center for those wanting to learn about Native American History.

Okmulgee has two fantastic lakes just a few miles from downtown. Okmulgee Lake was built in 1926 as a water project for the City of Okmulgee, and covers 650 acres. The highlight of a visit to Lake Okmulgee is the beautiful dam area, with its cascading waterfalls and rushing streams during high moisture times.

Dripping Springs Lake is located above Okmulgee Lake on a large watershed and is a definite contrast to Okmulgee Lake with a flat shoreline and much shallower water pool covering 1,100 acres. Located off Highway 56, Okmulgee Lake is picturesque, functional and offers outdoor recreation of many types.

The OSU-Okmulgee Multiplex offers Personnel Profiling services to business and industry. Technology and professional dedication allow prompt and reliable  service.
